Co-Portfolio Manager - Tax Exempt Funds

Clark Wagner was appointed CIO of Foresters Financial in 2016. He is responsible for more than $15 billion in mutual fund and insurance general account assets. Clark joined FIMCO in 1991 as Portfolio Manager of the tax exempt funds and remains a Co-Portfolio Manager of the tax exempt funds. During his tenure with the firm, he was the Director of Fixed Income for fifteen years and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Investment Grade and Limited Duration Bond Funds. Prior to FIMCO, Clark worked at General Electric Investment Corporation, American Express, and National Westminster Bank USA. Clark received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Williams College and a Masters degree in International Affairs from Columbia University.

Rajeev Sharma

Director of Fixed Income and Portfolio Manager

Rajeev Sharma joined FIMCO (formerly First Investors) in 2009 as Co-Portfolio Manager of the Investment Grade Fund and earlier this year became the sole Portfolio Manager. Rajeev has also been the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Limited Duration High Quality Fund since its inception in 2014. In July 2016, Rajeev was appointed Director of Fixed Income overseeing all of FIMCO’s internally managed fixed income and money market funds. Prior to FIMCO, Rajeev was a Senior Credit Analyst at Lazard Asset Management and an Associate Director in the Corporate Ratings Department at Standard and Poor’s Rating Service. Rajeev received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Cornell University.

Pedro Marcal

Director of International Equities and Portfolio Manager

Pedro is the Director of International Equities and a Portfolio Manager at Foresters Investment Management Company, Inc. (FIMCO), and joined the firm in May 2018. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager of global and international products at Fred Alger Management, where he worked for more than five years. Before that he was a Portfolio Manager at Allianz Global Investors and its predecessor, Nicholas‐Applegate Capital Management, for 18 years where he focused on international equities including developed and emerging markets. Pedro has been in the investment management industry since 1994. He has a B.A. in economics from the University of California at San Diego and an M.B.A. from UCLA.

Steven Hill

Steven S. Hill has been the Portfolio Manager for the Special Situations Fund since September 2013 and has been either Portfolio Manager or Co-portfolio Manager for the Opportunity Fund since 2004. Steven joined FIMCO (formerly First Investors) in 2002 as an equity analyst and became a Co-Portfolio Manager in 2004. Prior to FIMCO, Steven was a Director in UBS Warburg’s Healthcare Group where he worked primarily on mergers and acquisitions. He had previously been an Investment Banker for Credit Suisse First Boston and HSBC plc. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of California at San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. He received an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.

Sean Reidy

Sean Reidy has been Portfolio Manager for the Growth and Income since March 2018 and has been the Portfolio Manager for the Equity Income Fund since November 2011. Sean joined FIMCO (formerly First Investors) in 2010 as an Assistant Portfolio Manager for the Growth & Income Fund and had also served as the Co-portfolio Manager of the Blue Chip Fund from April to December 2011 (the Fund subsequently merged into the Growth & Income Fund). Prior to FIMCO, Sean was a Proprietary Trader at First New York Securities from 2008 to 2010. Sean had also worked for twelve years at Olstein Capital Management where he was a Co-Portfolio Manager of the Olstein All Cap Value Fund, and Director of Research. Sean received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Pace University.

Rodwell is a Portfolio Manager at Foresters Investment Management Company, Inc. (FIMCO), and joined the firm in 2012. Prior to FIMCO, Rodwell was a Portfolio Manager at ClearArc Capital (formerly Fifth Third Asset Management) and a Portfolio Manager at Fifth Third Private Bank’s Trust Services unit. Rodwell has 21 years experience in the financial markets having also been a financial advisor and a senior money market dealer. Rodwell received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business from Davenport University and an MBA from Xavier University’s Williams College of Business.

Government Cash Management Fund Senior Taxable Bond Trader Michael O’Keefe is the Portfolio Manager of the Government Cash Management Fund (formerly Cash Management Fund) and Senior Taxable Bond Trader. Michael began his career at FIMCO (formerly First Investors) as a Portfolio Assistant in the money market area. Michael received an Associates degree in Accounting from Fayetteville Technical Institute


Patrick Tucci

Patrick Tucci joined FIMCO in 2016 as a Portfolio Manager for the Tax Exempt Funds. Prior to FIMCO, Patrick was the President and Founder of Harbor Hills Investment Management Co which focused on portfolio management and financial planning. He had previously been a Portfolio Manager and Trader for tax exempt bond funds at Dexia Credit Local and MBIA Capital Management Corp. Patrick has 24 years experience in the financial markets. Patrick received a B.B.A. in finance from Villanova University and he is a CFA Charterholder.

Thomas Alonso, CFA

Assistant Portfolio Manager

Thomas Alonso joined FIMCO (formerly First Investors) as an equity analyst covering the financial and industrial sectors  in October 2017. Prior FIMCO, Thomas was a co-portfolio manager of a high yield fund  and involved in investor relations at Prospect Capital Corporation. Previously, he had been a senior research analyst at Macquarie Capital on its banks team and an analyst at First Investors Management Company. Thomas received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from Baruch College. He is a CFA Charter holder.

Evan Snyder

Evan Snyder joined FIMCO (formerly First Investors) in March 2015 as the Assistant Portfolio Manager of the Growth & Income fund as well as a sector-generalist analyst. Prior to FIMCO, Evan worked at Invesco Advisors for seven years as a member of their US Core Equity team where he was an analyst covering multiple sectors. Previously, he worked at IBM’s Corporate Development Group and at Credit Suisse in Mergers and Acquisitions. Evan graduated magna cum laude from Brown University with a B.S. in electrical engineering and an MBA from Stanford University. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Blake Moore

Blake Moore was appointed President of North American Asset Management at Foresters Financial™ in January of 2018. In this role, he provides leadership and oversight of all asset management and related businesses, including Foresters Financial Services, Inc., a registered broker-dealer; Foresters Investment Management Company, Inc., a registered investment advisor for First Investors Family of Mutual Funds; and Foresters Asset Management, Inc., a Toronto-based asset management company.

He has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, most recently as Head of the Americas Region at UBS Asset Management, which had over $600 billion in global assets under management. He’s also held senior executive positions for Mackenzie Investments and Allianz Global Investors.

Blake has a passion for giving back and has been engaged with a variety of non-profits. He is currently a member of the College of Wooster Board of Trustees, and has been chair of the College’s most recent capital campaign (successfully exceeding $165 million), wrapping up in 2018. Previously he served on the boards of the Greater New York Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Central Park Conservancy. Blake also served on the board of the Investment Adviser Association for many years.

Blake has a law degree from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in history from the College of Wooster. He also played six seasons in the National Football League for both the Cincinnati Bengals (where he played in Super Bowl XVI) and the Green Bay Packers. Blake is also the author of his football memoirs, Through a Pigskin Prism: An Unlikely Journey to and through the NFL.

Jim Moody

Jim Moody is the Vice President, National Sales Manager, responsible for leading the intermediary distribution of the firm’s investment solutions to financial advisors in North America, as well as leading the sales and business development teams covering registered investment advisors, broker dealers and DCIO. He has over 20 years of sales, business development and relationship management experience. He joined Foresters Financial in November 2013.

 Before joining Foresters Financial, Mr. Moody, brings various senior leadership roles from the asset management industry and most recently in 2012 as the Senior Director at Destra Capital distributing closed-end funds, mutual funds, SMAs and hedge funds.  Prior to that in 2007, he was the National Sales Manager at Foxhall Capital Management, responsible for sales distribution of SMAs and mutual funds to RIAs, high-net worth advisors and pensions. He was educated at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He holds FINRA series 7, 26 and 63 licenses.

Rob Leonardi

Robert Leonardi serves as the Director of Intermediary Distribution, responsible all aspects of the organization’s operational and administrative functions.  This includes management of strategic initiatives, compensation, planning, goals and objectives as it relates to the organization's interaction with product, IT, finance, marketing, legal and analytics functions.  In addition, Rob has oversight of the Strategic Accounts team and the Internal Sales Desk. 

Prior to joining Foresters, Rob worked for TD Ameritrade where he held various positions including Vice President Mutual Fund Relationships and Vice President Mutual Fund Operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the College of Staten Island. He holds FINRA series 6, 7, 26 and 99 licenses. 

Shawna Macnamara

Shawna Macnamara is the Director of Strategic Accounts at Foresters Financial Services and joined the firm in September 2018. Previously, she worked at UBS Asset Management as a National Accounts Manager.

Prior to this, Shawna worked at Schroder Investment Management as a Key Accounts Manager and at U.S. Trust as a National Accounts Manager. She has been in the investment management industry since 2000. Shawna has a B.S. from the University of Kentucky and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

David King serves as the National Director of Intermediary Sales responsible for leading a team of regional vice presidents in the distribution of First Investors Funds.  David has been in finance for 20+ years in high profile roles all over the country.

Prior to joining FFS, Dave was a Divisional Vice President with AIG Financial Distributors in Woodland Hills, CA. He is well versed in increasing variable annuity sales continuously increasing sales goals throughout his territories. David has NASD and CFS designations and holds Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
